Once he returned the trays, he glanced back at the detective. He saw his hand in his face..."I wonder whats wrong with him." He mumbled to himself. He walked back over, ignoring his sticky hands. When he got back to the table, he sat himself down. "Are you okay? You...don't look to good...I mean, I can go get you water if you really want." Yosuke wondered what was wrong with him.
Yosuke layed his elbows on the table, and rested his chin in his hands. He examined Adachi carefully, and he wondered how he became a detective in the first place. He lifted his head, "Ha, may chin practically stuck to my hands." entertained, Yosuke laughed. He started to play with his hands, putting them together and releasing them, over and over, he was amused at his sticky hands.

"...You know, Yosuke-kun, you can be pretty cute when you want to be." The detective laughed at the childish act of the teen, highly amused. "Maybe I'll get a cone myself. Just for those sticky hands." He was kidding of course. He was bursting from the seams! One mor ebite and he was done for.
In response to the earlier question, Adachi shook his head. "No, really, I'm just fine! I was just acting a bit silly back there." He raised a thumbs up and waggled it. "But I smacked it all out!"

"Cute...." Yosuke looked down and blushed. "I wish he wou--" Yosuke realised he was speaking his thoughts, he slammed his hand in his face. "U-Uhh, ignore that, haha..." he waved his arms around, trying to ignore that he had said it out loud.
"I..can buy you a cone if you want. I don't mind." Yosuke grinned.

Adachi was a little too pre-occupied watching a butterfly flit around; it left behind a peculiar trail of sparkles and the detective was intriqued. But once it disappeared from sight, his focus went back to Yosuke. "Uh... sorry. Who what now?" If he were Dojima, he would have thought of something clever to hide the fact he was listening. But he felt he didn't need to be sneaky around tis one.
"I REALLY don't want a ice cream cone. Thanks. But what were you saying before that??"

"No, nothing." He chuckled, "It really isn't of any importance." he waved his hand again. Yosuke glanced around the loud environment that was around them. He had a bad habit of trying to distract himself by looking around where ever he was, he hoped Adachi didn't notice it.
"Ha okay I got 'ya. And what I said before? Again, I just accidentally said what I thought, no big deal....right?" His smile twisted.

Adachi pursed his lips. He didn't like this feeling; the feeling that something was being hidden from him. It made him uneasy and worried for sandy-haired student."...Are you sure? We just had a heart to heart... heh, would it hurt to tell me one more thing?" The loud chatter of customers exploring the wonderful sites of Junes seemed to drown out into a dull roar as he focused his eyes intently on the boy. What could he be hiding now?
He wasn't listening very well during the earlier conversation, but he was sure he could try to pick out the younger male was trying to say. Let's see... he had repeated the word cute, he thought. Yes, he was sure of it. The next sentence was about a bird... no no, about a person! Ah, ha! Even with the limited amount of clues, the great Adachi figured it out! Detective skills sure came in handy at times...
"...You think someone is cute?"

Yosuke could feel his body shaking, "N-No, it's nothing...!! I-I think..." He slammed his hand into his own face, feeling stupid at his response. Yosuke looked up at Adachi, with those eyes, it seemed to be piercing through him. Yosuke really needed to think more about what he says and how he says it. Yosuke hid his face in his arms...
"O-Oh sorry about that! I need to stop doing that around company.." Yosuke waved his arms. He really didn't want to tell someone his secret crush. Actually, he didn't want anyone to know. Except, maybe Soji...and it could be their secret, something they could share. Yosuke shook his head, clearing those thoughts, trying not to loose his composure.
"W...Well..." Yosuke blushed.

Laughter began to bubble in Adachi's throat but he held it back in a choke. He didn't want to offend but the kid was just so cute. "Hey, don't worry about it! We all have our little habits... yours isn't so bad." Adachi squirmed about in his seat, noticing how sleepy and numb the lower half of his body had begun.
"Ah... Yosuke-kun. Would you like to go for a walk or something? I feel like my legs are about to fall off. He tried his best to wiggle the tows in his left shoe but only succeded in moving one. Just for how long had they been sitting there chatting for?
He shook his and winked at Yosuke. "And then maybe you can tell more about this 'cute' person, eh? Whaddya say?"

Yosuke glanced around some more, "Y-Yeah, I'm glad you understand~. Hey...do you have any bad habits like that?"
"Hmm, A walk sounds nice, I don't see why not." He shrugged, and pushed himself up and out of the chair he was sitting in. "I wonder what it's like...outside of Inaba, y'know?" Yosuke found himself looking in all which-way directions. He managed to get his focus back on Adachi, and he started walking away from the food court with the Detective beside him.
"Oh...T-That 'cute' person? A-About that..." Yosuke looked at his feet and continued walking on forward.

He had to admit; he DID have some pretty bad habits. But he didn't exactly feel good conversing about that with a teenager he barely knew. They just became friends, Adachi didn't want to lose him already. But the detective admit to at least one. There was no way he could present himself as perfect. To Yosuke or anyone. "Bad habits... bad habits... ah! I tend to stutter a lot... when I'm nervous or confronted about something. If I have something t hde, it'll usually pop out." Adachi covered his lips quickly, to cover a nervous chuckle. " Not a good trait for a detective. I don't deal with suspects very well."
It was true. As soon as they heard him talk, they seemed to perceive him as a joke. It was only when Dojima-san was around or any other officer of the law did he feel confident. Heck, even a front of a crowd of people... wasn't it supposed to work the around?
He shrugged it off. Unimportant.
"I wasn't thinking of going outside of Inaba... that's quite a trek. But if you'd like to, I don't mind one bit. It'd be neat seeing what we've been sheltered from." The city life couldn;t be too different, right? Or maybe the trip would prove that Inaba was full of country town hicks. "I'm sure it'd be pleasant."
"Yeah.... well, you don't have to tell me. Keep some secrets to yourself. It makes you just a bit mysterious."

"Stuttering, eh...Ha, now I know when something is up." Yosuke laughed, and continued walking. Yosuke thought and thought, he had a few other bad habits of his own. "Everyone has a few right?" he thought to himself. Yosuke actually had many he was un-aware of, like when he animatedly moves his arms to match his words. Pretty much what most people call "Talking with your arms", which he did a lot of. He also had the same problem as Adachi, he stutters a lot, when it comes to most things.
"Well you never know, I mean, I used to live out in the city...A-And Soji has too, but uhh...I liked it there! So many sights and sounds, things you can't see here in Inaba. Yeah I still love it here, but maybe...we could check out the city sometime." Yosuke smiled. He remembered most of the places he loved visiting when he was younger. Yosuke wondered what it would be like visiting some other city, all the new things he could see, all the things you can't see here at Inaba. "So, would that be a yes?" He asked happily.
"W-Well...I mean, I guess I could tell you.." He itched the back of his head and continued on walking.

"Ehhh... maybe I shouldn't have told you that. D-Don't think too much into it, alright?" He laughed. "I'm working on fixing that though. So it shouldn't be a problem... some day." And he dearly hoped that day would come soon. Really, to be stuttering as his age... his parents must be rolling over in their graves.
"Oh, of course! And I should have known... considering you're the son of the guy who runs Junes... you couldn't have lived here that long." He mentally smacked himself for that stupid late stroke of genius. How much more obvious could it get? Well, whatever. Not much he could say about it now. "We should bring Soji-kun along as well, since you two are friends I presume? It'd be nice..."
"Well... only if you're comfortable telling me." Adachi drew his lips into a tight line and bit them close. Did he really want to hear about some kid's romantic life? His wasn't going so well... maybe he could get some advice.

He waved his arms around. He looked around and without realising it, they made their way into the shopping district. "Ha we've been walking for a while....Where are we going anyway? Cause, if we're going to the city, I can pay for the ticket." He smiled.
"Yeah, is it bad that...I think this place is...so, boring? I mean yeah, I love it here and all it's just....so small and limited, there isn't really much to do. But, in the city! That's a different story!" Yosuke laughed. He had the feeling of regret for what he just said, he tried to shrug it off. "S-Soji...? U-Uh...well I would have to call him, y'know, just to make sure we aren't interrupting anything. I mean, he is a busy guy, has many jobs an--...Oh wow I'm rambling. S-Sorry ha ha...!!" He scratched the back of his head, feeling stupid.
"I-I think I can tell you...sometime." He smiled softly and ended it with a nod. Yosuke didn't know how to confess to this person. Even if he were to confess, what would they think of him? A creep? Which is one of the last things Yosuke would want them to think of him.

"Ugh... you think?" As Adachi thought about it he realized that Yosuke was right. He had noticed other people stuttering... from suspects to even his own colleagues. Was it a worldwide thing? Maybe everyone has difficulty expressing his feelings. It was quite understandable. Especially if you were under interrogation he supposed.
"You make it sound amazing~! Now I'm more excited! Ooh, ooh, they must have the coolest souveniers there!" While they walked together, there seemed to be a bounce in the detective's step. Excitement and nervousness shook up and down his spine and ocontrol his nerves. Sure, it was just a simple thing called a City. But to him.. it could be so much more. The skylines, the trends... perhaps even the celebrities? Thank goodness his phone held a camera...
"I'll be waiting for that day. When you're ready..." He left it off there and nodded. He was in no hurry. When Yosuke was ready, he would be ready too.
[If we go the city, we'll have to make another topic xD]
