Appearance: Medium-length Black hair, and Purple eyes. No make-up besides lipsticks, so her face is pretty much plain and clear. Attire consists of s a simple Beige-and-Brown 'zipper top', the top also has two hearts on it.
Maya also wears a Brown Skirt, with Knee-High Brown Boots. Overall, Maya's appearance is rather plain, but at the same time stylish as well. Maya considers cost over quality when it comes to clothes -- She has an entire outfit that only cost 1 yen (less than a cent) - there was some television promo that a certain store was selling clothing at 1 yen apiece, so she raced down there and shopped like crazy. (I guess her current outfit cost ten yen, then?)
Maya shoots for whatever appearance that will 'do it's job'. She is not a fashionable or trendy person, as some would say, she is one of those people who will wear anything as long as it don't look too bad.
Over-All Personality: Maya is a cheerfully lazy person. She hates cooking, cleaning, and is bad at applying makeup; She loves to drive but can't drive worth anything; she'd probably love bumper cars. She met her roommate Ulala Serizawa in high school, and they must have been living together ever since graduation. Maya's precious keepsake is a small worn handmade bunny; she calls him "Mr. Rabbit" and uses him to cheer Tatsuya up in the Bomb Shelter. "If you're sad, Mr. Rabbit will laugh at you! Hop, hop!"
Maya has a great fear of fire, and the only time you see her lose her cool is when confronted with a burning building. She cowers and cries out for her father to save her. But she's brave and practical, and when trapped in the burning Air Museum, she doesn't lose control.
Maya's motto is "Let's Think Positively!" ("Let's Positive Thinking" in her special brand of Engrish) and even at the worst of times, she keeps a smile on her face and tries to find a silver lining in the situation. Her optimism and refusal to give up has saved the group more than once; instead of despairing, she thinks of a way to solve their current problems. However, despite her unending cheerfulness, she's fully aware of how bad the situation is, and is privately rather doubtful that things will turn out well. But instead of depressing the "kids" with her worries, she tells them that everything will surely be okay, and her strength keeps them going.

It was a rather busy day at Kismet Publishing, and as the Magazine Editor of 'Coolest', Maya is definitely aware of this. Maya has to find interesting stories and scoops that will attract the public's attention, otherwise, however, the Magazine will lose it's popularity, and that will not be good at all. "C'mon... Positive Thinking..." mutters a stressed Maya as she plans about just what the next big story for Coolest will be, the boss clearly wants something 'Hip' and 'Happening' as a story for Coolest. "Hmm... well, sitting around isn't going to get me anywhere! I might as well get out and about, and search for a story." Maya nods to herself and tidies up her desk before leaving Kismet Publishing and onto the streets of Sumaru City.
The sun was very bright and it was somewhat warm outside, Maya let out a relaxed sigh as soon as stepping out Kismet Publishing. She enjoys the Sun and the Warmth greeting her after being trapped in the hectic building for so long. "First things first! I need a destination, a place where I believe I can find a 'Trendy' and 'Happening' story, one that'll finally shut the boss up!" Maya giggles a little to herself before getting into thought about which district and what place would be best to search for a story. "Hmm, I wonder... might the rumor-goers have a good story? Well, they might just tell me a rumor, but at least it will probably be an interesting one! I believe I should take that route!" Maya smiles gleefully, and begins to walk. "It will probably be best to talk to Chikalin-Chan, out of all the rumor-goers, she knows the more interesting stuff!" Mayas begins to walk to the Yumezaki District, remembering that her and Ulala's home is in the very district. "Ugh... as much as I'd love to go home and relax for now, I can't." Maya shrugs "If I did that, the boss would surely fire me..." Maya sighs and continues to the Yumezaki District... "This definitely is going to be a busy day..."
