Chatter and laughter. It filled the air, a low hum in the ears of all. For those used to it, it was a rather nice comfortable welcome: a sign that the area prospered. But to a select few it was overwhelming. For Metis, she could hardly stand it.
She stood in the dark, unnoticed by most, staring into the crowds. She was looking for a familiar face. A certain blond that she longed to see... to touch again... but it was nothing. Futile. Just normal, stupid, everyday humans at every corner at every step. Some had even approached asking her about her day and if she wanted to... 'hang out.' Whatever that meant. At most she ignored them until they walked away grumbling. But some had been persistent, commenting how her simple sundress contrasted deeply with her herself. They had even reached to touch her head... they weren't so lucky as the other ones.
She sighed and stepped a bit further back. Should she give up? This felt almost impossible... what would Aegis do in such a place anyway? Really, the only logical place to look was the dorms. But... she felt uneasy about going there. She knew she wanted by those damn SEES members. But if they had any hint to where the other weapon was she would have to risk it. But she hated the thought. She would save it until she absolutely had no other choice. She nodded. That was that.
So she waited. And waited. For a familiar face...

The teenager yawned. Why had he even chose to go out in the first place? The area was just too crowded today, and Shinjiro Aragaki was getting a major headache. Though, he had to admit, it was nice to get away from the dorms for a while, not that he really interacted much with the others. He pushed his way through the mass of cliques and couples and started to head back when....he spotted something strange out of the corner of his eye.
He paused and turned his head. There was...a girl there. However, she seemed different from the hundreds of other stupid, whiny teenage girls he had run into too many times. She was waiting for something, he could tell, but something about her just didn't seem right. She had crimson eyes and an unfriendly aura about her, though she looked impatient, like she was waiting for someone. Not to mention she wore a dress that seemed the complete opposite of her. Now, Shinjiro wasn't one to butt into another's business, but there was something about this girl that intrigued him.
He wasn't sure whether to approach her or to just keep on walking like usual. He shoved his hands into his pockets and pretended to observe the sky for a moment. The strange girl now had a bit of a worried look on her face now. He watched her sigh and quickly glance around again, her eyes piercing through the dark she was hidden in.
"Looking for someone?" He finally decided to ask.

Metis was startled; she quickly looked for the source of the voice. After a few moments, her eyes laid on the boy with the large red coat and the beanie hat. Despite the simple clothes... he was an impressive figure. He gave off the perfect "Don't fuck with me". Why he chose to talk with Metis, of all people. It confounded her.. she grasped for the right words.
"How.... I... Aegis. I'm... looking for Aegis." She gave this question to everyone. Never expecting an answer but always hoping for one. Perhaps... this time....

"How.... I... Aegis. I'm... looking for Aegis."
Aegis? Could she have been referring to the robot girl back at the dorm? It had to have been...Aegis isn't exactly a common name. And, come to think of it, this girl reminded him somewhat of Aegis. Was she related to her somehow? Another robot, perhaps?
"I know someone named Aegis," Shinjiro replied rather casually. "Did you lose her somehow?" Again, he normally wasn't one to butt into others' business, or even offer to help a stranger, but for some reason he felt like he could, or rather should, help her.
